I was born and raised in Bellevue, Iowa which is a typical small town in the Midwest.  Everyone knows everyone and the community pulls together for every event.  When I met my husband, we moved to Galena, Illinois, his hometown.  Galena is also a small town, but with a different feel.  There is such a mixture of different cultures and races, but still has the small town feel.  Our orange tabby cat Sam is featured in Little Evergreen.  He is 17 and still going strong.  He has the best life possible.
